In our Holistic Nutrition course, students examine the basic nutrients in food including carbohydrates, vitamins, enzymes, fatty acids, and amino acids and how food affects the mind/body connection. Discussions include how food choices impact our health and how the energy of food ingested affects our own energy. Students also explore the process of digestion to gain a better understanding of the breakdown and utilization of our food. A portion of this class includes demonstration, preparation, and the sharing of delicious and healthy recipes that the students can incorporate into their own unique nutrition program.
